Brandonovy narozeniny

Úterý, byl jeden z mých nejlepších dnů tady. Byl to den, který jsem si tady vážně užila, a je zajímavý, že to bylo zrovna na Brandonovy - bráchovy narozeniny.

Dopoledne jsem dostala odpověď z Moravian college - odpovědi na mé dotazy. Bylo to milé, libí se mi tady jejich komunikace, i když chápu, že oni mají víc důvodů k tomu být milí, když to mají tak drahé, takže studenty k nim musejí lákat, a o každého zájemce se hezky starat.

Tuesday was one of my favourite days here. It was a day that I really enjoyed and it's interesting that it was on Brandon's birthday.

In the morning, I got a response to my questions from Moravian college . It was nice, I like their way of communication even more when I compare it with the czech universities. But I understand that when they want the students to pay such a high tuition, they have to take a good care of all the people interested in studying there.

Odpoledne v Esperanze bylo tentokrát volnější tím, že děcka měly míň školy, tím pádem většinou žádné úkoly, tak jsme si tam s nima spíš jen hráli a byli s těma, kdo zrovna nehrály na žádný hudební nástroj. Takže jsme se konečně dostali k tomu zahrát si pořádně fotbálek. Jenomže, ten fotbálek, co tam mají, byl nějak úplně divně rozestavěný. Měl například tři chlapy na tyči brankáře, a místo doprava, se hrálo doleva. To mě strašně mátlo, a ze začátku jsem si málem střílela vlastňáky, a pak jsem hlavně měla problém s pohybem ruky na druhou stranu - nezvyk. Nicméně jsem pořad byla trochu lepší, než většina děcek. Tak jsme s Brandonem utvořili tým, a hráli jsme proti děckám. Pak se Brandon vrhl do předělávání toho fotbálku, aby byl správně, a konečně to šlo mnohem lip. Mnohem lepší pocit. A tím jsme to tam začali rozjíždět. Ale děcka - kluci si furt mysleli, že nás porazí, tak furt proti nám hráli, a byla to sranda, protože pak se chtěli začít vsázet. Tak jsme se vsázeli o 10 kliků. A pokaždé jsme to vyhráli, ale jednou jsme měli fakt namále, protože to bylo 9:9, a já jsem se fakt bála, že to prohrajeme. Ale nakonec se nám podařilo jim dat gól.

The afternoon in Esperanza was quite free this time because the kids had less school and mostly no homework. So we were playing with those who didn't have music classes. So we finally got to play foosball with them. But the foosball that they have has the players very weirdly placed. For example, instead of one goalie, there were three, and instead of playing to the right side, we were playing to the left side. That was so confusing that in the beginning I almost scored my own goal. But still I was a bit better than most of the kids. Then Brandon and I made a team and played against the kids and Brandon decided to put the players to their right place. Finally, that was something completely else. And the kids wanted to play against us and beat us, it was fun because they were loosing all the time. But the guys thought that they would beat us so they even wanted to bet. So who lost had to do 10 push ups. So the guys were doing them all the time. But once it was a close shave. I was afraid we would lose because it was 9:9. And that gave the boys more hope to win.

Po zavření budovy jsme běželi do auta, protože i když dopoledne krásně sněžilo, tak večer lilo jako z konve! Jeli jsme do Friendly's na večeři, podnik vybral Brandon. Číšnici jsme ale neměli moc dobrou, tak Kassandra s Rhondou vtipkovaly, že jí nedaj dýško. Nicméně když už jsem si myslela, že jsem tak nějak pobrala ten americkej akcent, tak jsem si musela objednat pití, a chtěla jsem čaj. To jsem si teda dala, protože aby mi ho nepřinesli ledový, což už se mi jednou stalo, tak jsem si musela objednat "hot tea". A já jsem to očividně řekla s britským akcentem, jakože "hot tý" a ta servírka se mě asi třikrát zeptala, cože to chci, dokud jí Brandon neřekl "ha' tý". A když odešla, tak se všichni smáli, a Rhonda řekla, že jí libí můj akcent. No, to je fakt hezký :)

Jinak dýško jsme nakonec dali.

After closing the building we had to run to the car because even though in the morning it was nicely snowing, in the evening it was just pouring rain. We went to have dinner at Friendly's, Brandon chose it. However, the waitress wasn't that friendly. And as I thought that I finally got the american accent, I had to order a drink and I wanted tea. And because it happened to me before that I ordered tea and it was ice tea, I had to say that I wanted a hot tea. This way it was even in the menu. So I said it and the waitress asked me like three time to repeat it. I didn't understand why, it was just two easy words, right? But then Brandon said it and I understood. I was saying it with the british accent. So then we all laughed and Rhonda said that she liked my accent :D That's very nice :D

Po večeři jsme my mladí jeli do kina na Hunger Games 2. Kvůli tomu jsem dopoledne koukala na první díl, abych chápala ten druhý. Jeli ještě další kamarádi Brandona, tak nás v autě pro čtyři a půl jelo šest. A to mi nepřišlo teda tak skvělej zážitek, ale přišlo mi vtipný to, že jsme takhle prostě jeli, i když snad každý tu má auto :D V pokladně kina byl vtipnej týpek, když mu někdo z nás dával nějaký kupon, či co, tak on se zeptal: "Chceš to zpět, nebo to můžu vyhodit?" Odpověď byla vyhodit, a on to normálně vyhodil do vzduchu za sebe. To nikdo nečekal, a bylo to strašně vtipný, tak on dodal, že to prostě rád dělá. A věřím, že ty obličeje lidí, co na něj koukají pak stojí za to.

Film byl super, ale snad ještě lepší byli diváci. Kassandra cely film komentovala Nickymu, protože on ten první neviděl. Já jsem to neslyšela, až na jeden moment, kdy okomentovala vzhled jedny paní v tom filmu, že vypadá jako lufa (taková ta houba na mytí do sprchy). Ta paní totiž měla takový zajímavý šaty. Mne to přišlo strašně vtipný, tak jsem tam vyprskla smíchy. A druhej vtipnej moment byl, když někdo kýchnul, a postupně mu cely obecenstvo (asi 25 lidi) v kině řeklo: "Bless you." A odpověď dotyčného byla ve smyslu, že takovou reakci nečekal. Byla tam proste taková vtipná rodinná atmosféra :)

Potom jsme ještě přežili cestu v šesti lidech zpět, a byli jsme doma. Byl to vtipný den :)

After dinner we went to the cinema to see Hunger Games 2. I was actually watching the first movie in the morning so that I would understand the second one. We were 6 people and went in Brandon's car which is like for 4 and half people. I wouldn't say that was a great experience but when thinking about it I thought it was funny because everybody here has a car but we had to go like this :D

The movie was great but maybe the audience was even better. Kassandra was commenting all the movie to Nicky because he didn't see the first movie. I didn't hear the comments excpet for one moment where one woman had an interesting dress and Kassandra said: "She looks like loofah." I burst out laughing. And the second funny moment was when one person sneezed and all the audience started saying "Bless you." There were about 25 people. And the person who sneezed said something like that he didn't expect such response :D So it was really a funny atmosphere there.
