Last time when I was in Peru I wanted to visit as many places as possible but I didn't get to go to many of them. There was also one of the reasons I was happy to go back. So I didn't have to take my dad to places I have been to but to places I also wanted to visit. One of them is Túcume.

My jsme šli okruh A (myslím). Došli jsme k největší pyramidě, a pak po schodech stoupali nahoru. Měli tam dva výhledy. Níž a výš. Slunce do nás pražilo, a my jsme si užívali ten výhled do širokého okolí.

Túcume is a complex of pyramids or what is left of them. It used to be a main center for the Lambayeque culture. Today, it doesn't look as much as pyramids but there are some kind of hills in the middle of flat land. This site was discovered in the last century. At the entrance there is a museum with things they found and with the historical connections. That was quite interesting. Then people can choose from two routes to follow. I think we went for the route A. We went to the highest pyramid and climbed up the stairs. There were two viewpoints. One lower and one higher. The stairs were quite exhausting but the excuse is that we spent the last days in the bus, plane, and a taxi. The sun was really intense and we enjoyed the view around us. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the very top of the pyramid. There wasn't any sign forbidding trespassing neither any wall so that we couldn't go there but there wasn't any official path and it didn't look very safe. And in the heat we didn't want to risk much. But it was still worth it. It's interesting to try to imagine how it might have looked thousand years ago, and how the people lived there.

Túcume is about half-hour long journey in "combi" from Lambayeque if you go northeast. The combi takes you exactly to the "paradero"  in Túcume where you find mototaxis. The journey from Lambayeque to Túcume in combi costs 2 soles for a person. The journey to the pyramids in mototaxi costs 2 soles as well. On the journey back the taxidriver asked for more but I negotiated on 2. He knew that he asked more than it was necessary. It's very important to agree on the price before you get into the taxi or mototaxi. The entrance tickets to the museum and to the route A to the pyramids costs 8 soles, for me as a student it was only 3 soles :)
